Molly Gene Crain for State Senate

Molly On The Issues

Now, more than ever, our rural communities need investment and attention which have been sorely lacking from the Kentucky legislature. Much like the four values of 4-H — Head, Heart, Hands, and Health — Molly proposes the Four F’s: Families, Farms, Funding, and Fixing Frankfort.

  • Families

Molly cares about making sure our hardworking families go from merely surviving — to thriving. Where your workweek dollars go to not only covering expenses, but allow you to invest in something extra. Molly will work to:

    • Raise the minimum wage
    • Make college more affordable
    • Invest in child care for working families
    • Reduce costs at the gas pump and the grocery store
  • Farms

We know that over the last 20 years, Kentucky has lost approximately 17,000 farms, totaling to 1.4 million acres. Because of this, farm families across the Commonwealth, and especially in the 27th District, have lost their ability to thrive in the work that gives their lives meaning. In Frankfort, Molly will actively work to preserve our farm family legacies, add stability to the work of farming, and incentivize the next generation of Kentucky farmers.

  • Funding

Molly cares about making sure that no matter what county in Kentucky you live in that your schools, your roads, your hospitals, your places of recreation are just as good as the ones in the county over. This means:

    • Fully funding public schools
    • Investing in rural healthcare
    • Improving roads and bridges
    • Keep more of your tax dollars local
  • Fixing Frankfort

Kentucky does not have Republican issues or Democratic issues, only kitchen table issues. Kentuckians deserve leaders who know there is no partisan way to problem-solve. For too long, Frankfort politicians have strong-armed Kentuckians — from the classroom, to the doctor’s office, to the farmer’s gate. Those aren’t Kentucky values. We need leaders who will return power back to the people.
